Site Safety & Outdoor Stanchions – Weather-Ready Crowd Control

Stanchions used outdoors or on a work site face problems an indoor queue never does — weather, UV, vehicle traffic and the need to be seen from a distance. These posts are built for that, across three lines that solve different problems.

Which line do you need?

• WeatherMaster — built for permanent or repeated outdoor use. Choose this when the posts live outside: car parks, forecourts, entrances, outdoor events. Available with 11 ft, 13 ft, 16 ft and 20 ft belts depending on model.
• SafetyPro — high-visibility safety posts for industrial and site use, where the barrier has to be noticed rather than blend in. Warehouses, plant rooms, loading areas, maintenance zones.
• SafetyMaster 450 — the long-belt option, for spanning wide openings with fewer posts.

The outdoor finish trap

This catches people out often enough to be worth stating plainly: plated finishes such as chrome and brass are not recommended for outdoor use. If a stanchion is going outside, select the weatherized option where the product offers one — we double-coat the metal surfaces and the base loader. Ordering a polished brass post for a seafront entrance will look excellent for one season and then not.

Single, Twin or Xtra?

Twin models carry two belt cassettes on one post, so you can run two parallel lines from a single row — fewer posts to buy, transport and store. Xtra models use a wider belt, which reads more clearly at a distance and carries printed safety messaging better.

Belt length and post count

Longer belts mean fewer posts for the same run, but a long belt sags more and is easier to walk into. For an outdoor perimeter that people will approach from odd angles, more posts with shorter belts usually holds a cleaner line than fewer posts stretched to their limit.
