Belt Cassette Fitment Guide

Belt worn, frayed, no longer retracting or locking? On the Pro series you almost always need a new belt cassette, not a new stanchion. The cassette is the whole working assembly — SlowRetract spring mechanism, belt, belt end-piece and 4 receivers — and it drops into the existing post head. Changing the metal head is almost never necessary.

Master series cassettes have been discontinued. The manufacturer no longer supplies replacement belt cassettes for the QueueMaster, WallMaster, SafetyMaster and WeatherMaster ranges. See Master series below for what we can do instead. Every Pro series model can still have its cassette replaced.

Two things to check before you order

  1. Belt width. Measure the belt itself. Standard is 2"; Xtra-wide is 3". This is the single most common ordering mistake — an Xtra cassette will not fit a standard head, and vice versa.
  2. Belt length. Stamped on the belt end-piece on most units. If the length is not marked, pull the belt fully out and measure it.

Master series — cassette no longer replaceable

The manufacturer has discontinued replacement belt cassettes for the Master series. This is their decision, not a stock shortage — the part is no longer produced. It applies to:

  • QueueMaster 550 — all finishes and belt lengths
  • QueueMaster Twin 550 and Twin 550 Xtra
  • QueueMaster 550 Xtra
  • WallMaster WM300 and WM450
  • WallMaster Twin and WallMaster Xtra
  • SafetyMaster 450 and Twin 450
  • WeatherMaster 250, 300, 335 and Twin / Triple

If the belt on one of these has failed, call us. Depending on the model and the fault we can usually offer a replacement unit, and in some cases a Pro series equivalent that is serviceable — which is the better long-term answer if you are running a large installation.

Other brands

Belt barriers from Lawrence / Tensabarrier, Visiontron, Lavi Industries, US Weight and Mr. Chain use their own cassettes and are not interchangeable with the Queue Solutions parts above. Call us with the model and we will match it.
