CrowdMaster™ Barricades

Crowd control barriers and barricades hold a line where a retractable belt stanchion will not — at concert barriers, event perimeters, construction frontages and anywhere a crowd may press against the barrier itself. The CrowdMaster™ range is built from steel for repeated set-up, knock-down and storage.

Flat feet or bridge feet?

This is the first choice to make, and it comes down to how your run is laid out.

• Flat feet sit flush against the ground and suit straight runs along a wall or frontage, where nothing needs to cross the foot.
• Bridge feet arch upward so the foot of one barricade passes over its neighbour, letting adjoining sections interlock tightly and turn corners without the feet fouling each other.

Adding a gate to a barricade run

A solid perimeter still needs controlled access for staff, deliveries and emergency egress. Two gate widths are available — a 38" short gate for a single-person pass-through, and a 79" long gate where equipment or a vehicle needs to get through. Plan gate positions before you order, not after the run is set.

Branding and storage

A barricade jacket turns each section into a printed surface, which is worth considering when the barrier line faces the public or a camera. For venues that set up and strike repeatedly, a barricade cart moves and stores sections without hand-carrying them one at a time — usually the difference between a two-person job and a four-person one.

Where these are used

Concerts and festivals, sporting events, parades and marathons, construction site frontages, and any perimeter where the crowd may lean on the barrier. Where you are guiding an orderly queue rather than restraining a crowd, a retractable belt barrier stanchion is the lighter and faster option.
